Junior Youth Group Leader

Job description

Lead a Junior Youth Group for tweens during the 2026-2027 school year (September 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027). Organize and oversee one or two activities per month (minimum 16 events per school year), each 1.5-3 hours, spread across Friday evenings, Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons/evenings. Programming is developed with guidance from the Rabbi and Youth Committee chair, based on tween feedback and your own creativity. Responsibilities: • Establish a tentative calendar of events at the start of the school year • Create and maintain an email/WhatsApp distribution list for parents and tweens • Advertise events and create flyers for Temple and religious school newsletters • Book venues, coordinate transportation details, and manage the program budget • Liaise with the Temple youth committee, religious school, administration, and FROSTY advisors for joint activities • Submit a year-end report summarizing the year's activities Compensation: $4,000 for the year, plus a small stipend to offset program expenses.
