Program Facilitator, Inclusion

Job description

The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver seeks a Program Facilitator to lead "Growing Together," an Inclusion-department pilot in which youth and teens with diverse needs and abilities come together in a community garden to socialize, learn life skills, and enjoy hands-on activities. Responsibilities: • Plan and facilitate twice-monthly Sunday sessions with participants • Identify and order supplies; prep and clean the garden area • Communicate with the Program Coordinator and participants/families Qualifications: BA, certification, and/or equivalent experience working with individuals with special needs; knowledge of facilitating gardening classes; experience with youth/teens with disabilities and inclusive practices an asset; strong communication skills; Criminal Record Check for vulnerable persons. Schedule: 4 hours every 2 weeks, Sundays 1–4pm (Mar–Jul). $22–$28/hour depending on experience.
