Congregation Schara Tzedeck, the largest Modern Orthodox synagogue in Western Canada (500+ families, 117+ years in Vancouver), seeks a Director of Development to lead its fundraising strategy and build a culture of philanthropy. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute a multi-year strategic fundraising plan; cultivate and steward major donors • Build a planned-giving and bequest program; expand revenue through events, sponsorships, and grants • Manage donor relations, grant writing, and fundraising events • Maintain donor records in ShulCloud and report on metrics Qualifications: Bachelor's required (CFRE a plus); 3+ years' progressive fundraising experience, ideally in a Jewish or nonprofit setting; proven success securing major and planned gifts; strong communication and organizational skills; knowledge of Jewish customs and synagogue life preferred. Hybrid (2–3 days in person). Salary: $95,000–$110,000 CAD plus full benefits.
