Job description
JCFS Chicago seeks a Case Manager to support the resettlement of refugee youth through school enrollment, engaging programming, and accurate documentation. Responsibilities: • Create service plans and maintain client files and the Refugee Social Services (RSS) database • Facilitate school enrollment at appropriate levels with needed supports; conduct quarterly family check-ins • Provide after-school programming (social-emotional learning, language acquisition, academic success) • Coordinate ESL testing, field trips, and tutoring volunteers; act as liaison between schools and families Requirements: Bachelor's in Social Work or related human-services field preferred; experience serving youth and families; flexible schedule including some evenings/weekends; valid Illinois driver's license and reliable vehicle. Fluency in an additional client language and cross-cultural/refugee experience preferred. Compensation starts at $48,000/year plus benefits, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and paid Jewish holidays.
