Job description
T'ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights is seeking a talented senior professional to serve as its Chief Financial Officer. The CFO supervises the finance and technology team, reports to the executive office (CEO and Deputy CEO), and is responsible for strengthening, maintaining, and supervising T'ruah's monthly and annual fiscal infrastructure — including annual audits, budgeting and forecasting, compliance and risk management, IT and cybersecurity oversight, and serving as primary liaison to the PEO for payroll and benefits. The ideal candidate brings five or more years of experience leading a large department's or small-to-mid-size organization's finances, considerable nonprofit finance experience, strong attention to detail, collaborative and adaptive leadership, and the ability to clearly explain complex financial matters to stakeholders without financial backgrounds. This is a full-time remote position with preference given to those residing in the New York City area. Salary range: $105,000 - $150,000 per year, plus generous benefits including employer-paid medical premiums, 403(b) contributions, 34 holidays, and paid parental leave. Priority given to applications received by July 15; applications require a resume and cover letter.
