Lead Maintenance Technician

Job description

The Mid-Island Y JCC in Plainview is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly environment. Duties include routine and preventative facility maintenance (including the indoor pool and hot tub), troubleshooting pool and spa equipment, general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting work, housekeeping, snow removal, event setup and breakdown, and opening/securing the facility. This is a full-time position, 40+ hours per week; schedule may vary. Requirements include a high school diploma and some experience in maintenance or facilities; prior pool and spa maintenance experience and knowledge of pool mechanical systems and water chemistry are preferred.
